RSV

My hopes did not last long. Both my kids are sick with RSV. Kent's cold was not so bad, he handled it pretty well, but hates to be suctioned. Eliza-Jane just got it and so we'll see how she will handle it. Then there's the parents who get no sleep during the night and hoping not to get sick as well. Next year I think I will keep my kids out of church for the whole RSV season.

Elizabeth's Baby Blessing

Eliza-Jane was blessed on Dec. 19, 2010. It was a great day and my sister made it from Arizona, bless her heart. It was also my brother, Reagan's, B-day so that was wonderful to celebrate two important days. But we survived the holidays, it seemed like every weekend in December something was going on. We all did get colds right before Christmas but thankfully that was it. I really don't want my kids get RSV, I heard it's horrible. We hope everyone had a great holiday! Stay healthy and strong for 2011!

Mommyhood

I must say motherhood is all careers put into one. You have; cook, housekeeper, money manager, taxi, teacher, and I bet I am missing a ton of others. On top of it all you do not even earn income. If you think your current job is hard try being a homemaker. I would complain all the time about my career jobs but after being a stay at home mom I will never complain again.

After being thrown-up on, peed-on and poohed, and breast milk covering my shirt and some days I cannot even get a shower because I have two screaming babies I have to take care of. Yes I will never complain again.

My Mom did this with six kids by the time she was 29. I give my mother all thumbs up for not killing us and not going into the funny farm. I am 31 and I am trying to handle two, who are one year apart. Somehow, I have survived the first month of raising these two beautiful children. I have learned you take each day at a time. Some days feel like your not going to make it but then the next day is smooth sailing. I guess that what makes feel like I can do this. My husband helps out as much as he can. If he did not help, I think I would be a walking zombie, with eye-bags as big as the Hoover dam.

I am grateful that I can stay home with these little monsters. Of course, the biggest monster is the mother. One day this monster will turn into a beautiful swan like her mother before her. We all survive. We learn and grow from each experience and with our posterity comes much joy.

Oh and remeber today is when Pearl Harbor was attacked and the start of WWII. Thank-you veterans for your service. You are always in our hearts and prayers.

Eliza was born Nov. 2, 2010. She was 8 lbs. 20.5 in. long. She is a great blessing in our lives and she came home very healthy. Kent is enjoying and wondering what this new little sister is all about. I quit my job and now I am a stay at home mommy. I have great help this week but we'll see what next week brings when its me and two babies. I hope the motherly instinct will come and nature will nurture. Love to you all!

Big Day Tomorrow

The big day has finally arrived. My belly can only get so huge. Eliza-Jane will be born tomorrow. Schedule C-section. She will be born at 8 am on Nov. 2, voting day. Remember to vote and remember me in the hospital. I actually made it to 39 1/2 weeks. Kent was born at 24 weeks. So this will be such a different but marvelous experience. We are excited for our little girl to enter the world! I am sure it will rock Kent's world. Wish us the the best!! We wish you all the best.

Kent Turns One Years Old

Kent turned one on October 15. We had a fun party for him. He is healthy and active little boy. He is crawling and sitting up on his own and trying to pull himself up. Pretty soon he will be walking. Watch out world. He loves saying Dada and just waiting for the day for him to say Mama. Baby sister was good and was not born on his birthday. So it looks like she will be coming on Nov. 2nd when scheduled. We are excited and I'm sure Kent will be too.
